Paula Ordovás on hair trends, role models and trademark hair
Which current hair trend do you like the most?
I really love ponytails right now, because you can really play with the different styles. It's a real classic, but cool.
Would you ever go for a really extreme hairstyle?
I don't think so, because my hair is my trademark. I would never wear it really short because it just isn't me.
What hairstyle will you wear when you're 70?
I think I will keep my color and the style, but maybe a bit shorter, like shoulder length.
Who is your hair role model and why?
Gisele Bündchen. Really natural, shiny hair. I think it's one of her trademarks and it looks really beautiful. I just love her hair.
Paula Ordovás shares her insider tips, from everyday to glamorous styles
What makes the perfect hairstyle?
I think it has to look natural even if it isn't. You may have spent two hours doing your hair, but it looks effortless.
How do you like to wear your hair in daily life?
I like to wear it freestyle, really natural with a bit of curl.
What's your insider tip for a glamorous hairstyle that always looks stylish?
Actually, quite similar to my daytime look, but with more volume.
What's your look on a Sunday if there is no event or photo session?
I always wear it tied up in a high bun. Always.
Paula Ordovás' product faves and frizz fixes
Name three hair and beauty products you always carry in your travel bag.
I always take my Schwarzkopf anti-frizz serum because I get really frizzy hair. I need it in my life. Got2be hairspray for shine and Gliss Kur oil nutritive fluid because I get split ends.
What was your biggest hair faux pas and how did you fix it?
When I was 17, I cut my own fringe. It was terrible, but I just had to grow it out. I also always had problems with frizz, but it took me a while to find out how to control it. Now I know how to care for my hair and prevent frizz.
Spanish women are great because …
...they really know what they want.
Shy or outgoing?
Casual or elegant?
By the sea or in the city?
By the sea.
Where would you travel to again and again?
India. I really loved Nepal and Jaipur. It's amazing. The colors, the clothes, the landscapes, the people. I fell in love with India.
What inspires Paula Ordovás?
Where do you find inspiration and who inspires you?
I find inspiration in lots of places, like music, fashion, street style, social media, cinema and magazines. I think we can access lots of information, so you get inspired all the time, in lots of places and lots of ways. You just need to know how to filter the things that inspire you and create your own mix.
If you could be someone else for a day, whose life would you want to live?
Madonna! That would be really fun. Because of her style. She's really feminine but also strong and fit. The way that she wears fashion, too. Everything.
What do you like most about yourself?
I think my smile. I'm a happy person, I'm always smiling and it's one of the things that makes me unique.
