Hair is swept sleekly back and placed into a voluminous bun on the top of the head - this was the eye-catching look adopted by designer Lena Hoscheck’s models. The contrast between severe and laid-back flatters any face shape, adds a couple of centimetres to your height, and even makes you look slimmer. The volume helps with the illusion: the hairstyle pros at Fashion Week help it all along by creating veritable pillows of hair

A woman renowned for her acting ability, extraordinary style, and striking short hair - Tilda Swinton. Thus this British actress trod in the footsteps of top models such as Joan Smalls.

The catwalk staged new fashion, creative hairstyles were conjured up backstage, and anyone who’s anyone enjoyed a front-row seat (e.g. Katja Flint and Franziska Knuppe). For one week the entire city heaved with life and style, the streets of Berlin full of fashionistas and creative types. That’s because trends are no longer decided solely on the catwalks. Away from designer showcases, the looks of tomorrow were also to be seen on bloggers, models, and famous figures (see gallery above).
