Defining the hair ends adds pep to singer Haley Bennett’s classic short bob with middle parting. The outward pointing hair ends change the style from traditional to modern and sassy.

Styling: Apply a walnut-sized dollop of styling mousse to your dry hair. Then create a middle parting and straighten the entire length of your hair. Rub a pea-sized dollop of hair wax between your fingertips and use them to style the hair ends outward

Actress Kate Mara used to wear a long bob. Meanwhile, she joined the trend and cut her hair chin-long. The photo shows her wearing a short sleek bob with the top hair pulled back and secured with hair slides.

Styling: After applying heat protectant, use a flat iron to straighten your hair strand by strand. Distribute a small amount of hair oil between your hands before using them to stroke back your covering hair. This will create an austere look. Secure the pulled back hair using one long or two short hair slides. Apply hairspray for secure hold

Leelee Sobieski opted for a cool wet style. Her bob version is modern and extravagant. The feminine bob also flatters her facial features.

Styling: Distribute a hazelnut-sized dollop of hair gel on your fingers and distribute the gel in your dry hair. Use another small amount of hair gel and apply it to your hair from the roots to only about half way along the hair length to intensify the wet appearance of the hair close to the head. Comb the gel through the hair and apply hairspray for secure hold. Shortly blow-dry your hair as a finishing touch

    Bob with Hair Slide

Miroslava Dumawears a retro bob in the 1920s style. The hair above her forehead is allowed to partially fall across her forehead before she secures the wavy hair on one side. The hair slide and chin-long wavy hair give her a young appearance.

Styling: After shampooing, work styling mousse through your hair and comb it straight. Create a straight side parting and comb the hair above the forehead to the opposite side and slightly across the forehead. Use a hair slide to secure this front hair on the side opposite the parting. Use a curling iron to roll the hair below the hair slide inward. Then move the curling iron downward and turn the curl outward. Repeat these two steps while working your way down to the hair ends

In various bob versions, retro waves show their special beauty. Brittany Snow wears her medium length bob with retro waves, well-defined curls, and low side parting. Her hairstyle is reminiscent of the Hollywood glamour of old. This is how old folks remember female stars of the 1940s and 1950s.

Styling: Work a tennis-ball sized dollop of styling mousse through your towel-dry hair. Then use a styling comb to create a straight side parting. Roll large strands of hair onto medium-sized curlers from the hair ends to about halfway to the roots. Then blow-dry your hair completely. Allow the hair to cool before you remove the curlers. Use your fingers to shape the curls and comb a small amount of hair gel into the hair close to the roots. The gel will increase the sleek and glossy nature of this hairstyle
